U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann open to conversations with LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers on national team place

CARSON, Calif. – U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann says that he’s open to having a conversation with LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers about his return to the U.S. National Team.

In an interview with reporters earlier this week, Rogers said that he has yet to speak with Klinsmann since he came out in January 2013, despite reaching out to the coach after making the announcement.  During his chat, Rogers noted that he was hoping to have a "life conversation" with the coach at some time.

However on Thursday, Klinsmann told media after the U.S. National Team’s training camp that he is certainly open to having a conversation with Rogers about his place within the national team setup.

“We can have that any time," Klinsmann said. "No problem at all. He dropped me a note and I absolutely respect that, but this is his privacy so I felt that there was no need to respond. No, I can give him a call and we can have a nice cup of coffee any time."
