LA Galaxy Foundation partner with American Heart Association to host HeartChase at StubHub Center

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Feb. 9, 2015) – The LA Galaxy Foundation have partnered with the American Heart Association to host the fundraising event HeartChase at StubHub Center on Saturday, March 7.HeartChase, presented by Planet Fitness, is a new interactive event that raises money to support the life-saving work of the American Heart Association.

The event will involve several teams throughout StubHub Center to compete in interactive games for the chance to be named as HeartChase champions. Teams will have to participate in various challenges around StubHub Center throughout the day, with the fastest being crowned champions. Several top earning teams will have the opportunity to meet DeLaGarza in a private meet and greet during the event.


LA Galaxy defender A.J. DeLaGarza will join the LA Galaxy Foundation in partnering with the American Heart Association for HeartChase at StubHub Center. DeLaGarza, Major League Soccer’s 2014 Humanitarian of the Year, helped raise $25,000 to fund heart care for the Heart Institute at CHLA last season after his son Luca was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. DeLaGarza is scheduled to be on hand for HeartChase on Saturday, March 7.


“I’m honored the LA Galaxy and American Heart Association have partnered for HeartChase at StubHub Center,” said DeLaGarza. “This is an important cause to me and I’m proud to be a part of the efforts of the American Heart Association to help save lives. I’m looking forward to a great event.”


Community members can volunteer as participants, donors or to help set up and facilitate the event at StubHub Center.
