Gyasi Zardes starts but the U.S. National Team fall 3-2 to Denmark in friendly

LA Galaxy striker Gyasi Zardes earned a start on the left side of midfield and went 67 minutes for the U.S. National Team as they fell 3-2 to Denmark in an international friendly on Wednesday.

Nicklas Bendtner scored three times for the Danes including a late winner in stoppage time to seal a deserved victory for the home side. From the opening whistle, the Danish had control of the match, but found themselves trailing twice after goals by Jozy Altidore early in the first half and then Aron Johannson midway though the second stanza.

The USMNT return to action next Tuesday when they head to Zurich to take on Switzerland.
