CARSON, Calif. (Friday, March 27, 2015) – LA Galaxy II (0-0-1) will play their second match of the 2015 USL season this Saturday, March 28 when they take on Sacramento Republic FC (0-1-0) at StubHub Center’s Track & Field Stadium.

LA Galaxy legend Mauricio Cienfuegos will be on hand to sign autographs beginning at 7 p.m. PT. Former Galaxy star Landon Donovan is also scheduled to be in attendance.

The match marks the first of four games between LA and Sacramento this season. In the next head-to-head contest, the Galaxy will travel north for a match at Bonney Field when they take on Republic FC Saturday, April 11.

Los Dos opened the season last week at home with a 0-0 draw against 2015 USL Expansion side Real Monarchs SLC. Despite steady offensive pressure throughout the match, Galaxy II were unable to find a winner. Goalkeeper Clement Diop earned his first start in net for Los Dos, notching a shutout.

Under the direction of head coach Preki, Sacramento FC started out the season with a 4-2 defeat on the road to Seattle Sounders II. Last year, Preki led his side to the 2014 USL Championship in the team’s first season.

In 2014, Galaxy II fell short of reaching the final in its inaugural season in 2014 after to dropping a 3-2 result to Sacramento Republic FC on the road at Bonney Field in the USL Semifinal game. Los Dos finished in third place in the USL PRO Regular Season standings with a 15-7-6 record, good enough for 51 points.

Led by head coach Curt Onalfo, the team returns a total of 11 players from the club’s inaugural 2014 season in USL, as Andre Auras (MF), Kainoa Bailey (FW), Jason Bli (DF), Travis Bowen (FW), Alejandro Covarrubias (MF), Bradley Diallo (DF), Joe Franco (DF), Lee Nishanian (DF), Nicholas Shackelford (GK), Daniel Steres (DF) and Jaime Villarreal (MF) will represent Los Dos for their second-straight season. Outside of the 11 returning Galaxy II players, Los Dos have added seven new players to its USL roster following the 2014 USL season, as Adonis Amaya (FW), Clement Diop (GK), Ryo Fujii (MF), Ariel Lassiter (FW), Eric Lopez (GK), Elijah Martin (MF) and Dave Romney (DF) round out the team’s first-year players who were signed this offseason.
