The LA Galaxy announced on Friday that they have signed goalkeeper Trey Mitchell.
The signing of Mitchell comes after the announcement that Brian Perk will miss the 2015 season due to an ankle injury. The Alta Loma native will serve as the backup goalkeeper for Brian Rowe during Saturday's clash with D.C. United.
“Trey is a talented goalkeeper who can provide us with solid depth,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena in a statement. “We are happy to add him to our roster and look forward to his contributions as a member of our team."
Mitchell joins the Galaxy after two standout years with neighboring Cal-State Dominguez Hills.
