LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena speaks after 1-1 draw with Colorado Rapids

CARSON, Calif. -- LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena addressed the media after the club's 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids.

(On the game...)

ARENA: “The game was lousy, and everything with it was lousy.”

(On the lineup changes...)

ARENA: "We wanted to give Maganto a start. We’re going to need those guys, not only this month but June and Jully we have a very heavy schedule, so we have to give other guys playing. Leonardo came back from an injury, he’s been about a month. We wanted to give him a start. We need to get Mika on the field. Those are the reasons. And obviously we have some other games coming up."

(On Gordon’s Goal...)

ARENA: “Good goal. Alan certainly knows how to come into a game, and that’s a real skill. He continues to do it, so I give him a lot of credit.”

(On Ignacio Maganto...)

ARENA: “I thought he played with a lot of confidence, he was aggressive on the ball. He was somebody that they had to focus on. He did a good job, didn’t play conservative and was pretty aggressive.”

(On Rafael Garcia...)

ARENA: “I thought he had a good game. He always does a good job for us, but again I think it’s important that our whole team be ready to play. Over the last three or four weeks he has gotten some time, which  I think will give him confidence and have him to prepare to play as we get into the last 25 games or so of the season.”

(On the substitutions...)

ARENA: I think they did a good job. We pushed to try and win the game. Colorado did a good job slowing the game down. I don’t think the referee really had a clue as to what was going on (laughs). Really really slowed the game and tried to get out of here with a point. Give them credit, they got out of here with what they wanted.
