Incoming LA Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard will lead Liverpool FC against their bitter rivals Chelsea for the final time this Sunday, but before he faces off against the Blues for one last time, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho made sure that the Liverpool skipper knew just how he felt after years of heated rivalry.
In his pregame press conference, the always affable Mourinho waxed poetic about Gerrard, calling the Liverpool midfielder his "most favorite enemy" and stating that facing players of his caliber helped him become a "better manager." Mourinho also revealed that he attempted to sign Gerrard three times during his stints at Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, but each time Gerrard opted to stay with Liverpool due to his loyalty for the club.
