CARSON, Calif. -- Famed LA Galaxy rival Dwayne De Rosario announced his retirement via social media on Sunday after an 18-year career.
The all-time leading goal scorer for Canada, De Rosario earned a host of honors in Major League Soccer including four MLS Cups, six MLS Best XI's, seven MLS All-Star appearances, and one MLS MVP (2011). During his time in MLS, De Rosario suited up for the San Jose Earthquakes (2001-05), Houston Dynamo (2006-08), Toronto FC (2009-11), New York Red Bulls (2011), D.C. United (2011-13), and Toronto FC once more. (2014).
The greatness of "DeRo" is unquestioned but for our purposes, De Rosario's finest moment may have come on October 15, 2006 when he scored a beautiful bending goal for the San Jose Earthquakes against the LA Galaxy.
Was his goal the greatest of MLS history?
