LA Galaxy II visit Orange County Blues FC Saturday

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, June 5, 2015) – LA Galaxy II (5-4-1, 16 points) will travel to face Orange County Blues FC (5-3-1, 16 points) at Anteater Stadium this Saturday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m. PT, with the match streamed live on www.lagalaxy.com.


The match will mark the first of four times this season that the Southern California rivals will square off with the next meeting taking place less than two weeks later when Los Dos host Orange County at StubHub Center Friday, June 19.


Led by head coach Oliver Wyss, Orange County Blues have started off the USL season with a 5-3-1 with 15 goals scored and eight conceded for a +7 goal differential on the year. They are led by Cristofer Ramirez with five goals in eight appearances and Didier Crettenand with four goals and three assists on the year. They enter Saturday’s match following a 1-1 draw against Seattle Sounders FC on May 30.


Los Dos continued their fine form last week with a 2-1 victory at StubHub Center over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC behind a stoppage-time goal from Galaxy Homegrown Player Raul Mendiola. Curt Onalfo’s squad has now won five of their previous six USL games, outscoring opponents nine to four during those matches. Ariel Lassiter continues to lead Galaxy II with four goals on the year, while Mendiola continues to lead USL with seven assists in 10 matches.
