LA Galaxy host PSA Elite Wednesday and Philadelphia Union on Saturday | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, June 15, 2015) – The LA Galaxy will return home this week for two matches at StubHub Center. The Galaxy will face PSA Elite on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. PT in a 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup fourth round matchup streamed live on www.lagalaxy.com before a match Saturday, June 20 against the Philadelphia Union at 7:30 p.m. PT live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes. LA Galaxy II will host Orange County Blues FC Friday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m. PT live on www.lagalaxy.com.

The Galaxy’s Open Cup contest at StubHub Center Wednesday will feature free parking, $2 tacos from Chancho’s Tacos, $2 beer and $5 tickets for LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members.

PSA Elite play in the United States Adult Soccer Association side and are the only remaining amateur side in the U.S. Open Cup. The game will mark the first time since 2010 that the Galaxy have hosted a U.S. Open Cup match. The Galaxy have recorded a 25-14-1 all-time record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. They have entered the Open Cup every year since 1999, winning the tournament in 2001 and 2005 while reaching the Open Cup Final on two other occasions.

The Galaxy (5-5-7, 22 points) are 5-1-1 against the Union all time, going 3-1-0 in matches played at home. In their most recent contest, the Galaxy defeated Philadelphia 4-1 at StubHub Center on May 25, 2014 as goals from Leonardo, Robbie Keane and two from Landon Donovan saw LA earn a dominant victory. Saturday marks the only time the Galaxy face the Union this season.

The LA Galaxy enter Wednesday’s match after snapping a 29-game unbeaten streak in all competitions at StubHub Center two weeks ago with a 1-0 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. During the 29-game unbeaten streak at StubHub Center (including 2014 MLS Cup Playoff matches, away matches against Chivas on April 6, 2014 & August 31, 2014 and a CONCACAF Champions League match on March 12, 2014), the Galaxy outscored opponents 65 to 18 for a +47 goal differential. The Galaxy also ended 23-game home MLS Regular Season unbeaten streak (17-0-6) at StubHub Center, which was the longest in club history and the third-longest in Major League Soccer history.
