Wonder goal gives Juninho no solace after disappointing defeat to San Jose Earthquakes | INSIDER

STANFORD, Calif. -- Juninho scored one of the finest goals of his career on Saturday but his incredible strike offered him no comfort after the LA Galaxy fell 3-1 to the San Jose Earthquakes.

Juninho gave the Galaxy the lead in the 17th minute but the defending MLS Cup champions conceded three unanswered goals to their archrivals. Despite the result, Juninho was able to extend his scoring streak to three matches for a second time in his Galaxy career.

Although the Brazilian kept up his torrid scoring pace, the midfielder was less than pleased after the defeat.

"The team is not all about me. We have a team. We have to go out there and compete as a team," Juninho said." Yes, I’m happy with the goal, but I’m very upset about the result. We’re still conceding second half goals and we’re struggling on the road. We have to get better and play better on the road."
