In the latest edition of "Insider on Location," we look at the LA Galaxy's motivation to reach the semifinals for the first time in nearly 10 years.

After his LA Galaxy debut, Steven Gerrard is hopeful that he'll make his competitive debut against RSL.

Alan Gordon believes that his goal against Club America could be the start of another goal streak for the Galaxy target man.

Finally, in the match preview, Bruce Arena outlines how he'll use Steven Gerrard in the Open Cup quarterfinal

MATCHUPS TO WATCH:
Steven Gerrard vs. Javier Morales

Gerrard seems primed to start LA's vital quarterfinal match, and will likely get his first taste of action against stellar RSL playmaker Javier Morales. Look for Gerrard to close down heavily on the RSL midfielder as he looks to win balls, and help LA spark counterattacks.

Robbie Keane vs. Chris Schuler
As evidenced by his wonder strike against Club America, Robbie Keane is looking more and more like the reigning MLS MVP with each passing game. On Tuesday, he'll have another test on his hands when he faces an experienced RSL defense anchored by the returning Chris Schuler.
Joao Plata vs. Dan Gargan

Finally back to full fitness after a preseason injury, the diminutive striker will look to be a thorn in LA's side on Tuesday. Positioning will be key for Gargan to slow down the talented RSL attacker.

PREDICTION:

LA Galaxy 2 (Keane, Gerrard) Real Salt Lake 2 (Schuler, Gil) (Galaxy advance in penalties)
