Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez never got their true swansong with Liverpool FC but as members of the LA Galaxy and FC Barcelona respectively, they had a chance to reconnect once more.
The former LFC men met in the first half of Barcelona's 2-1 International Champions Cup victory over the Galaxy, even exchanging a few pleasant words as they took the field for the beginning of the match. Both had their dangerous moments in front of goal, but it was Suarez, who was the lone player to get on the board with a late tally in the dying seconds of the first half.
As the pair walked off the field at the end of the half, the two traded shirts in one final show of respect. After the game, Suarez took to social media to wish Gerrard and the Galaxy for the remainder of the MLS season.
