Landon Donovan considered the greatest player in U.S. National Team history? Well, that's not a shock but in a recent ranking by The Guardian of the 25 greatest USMNT players ever, you may be suprised to see who finished behind him.
A panel of voters placed Donovan atop the list with Claudio Reyna, Clint Dempsey, Brad Friedel and Brian McBride rounding out the top five. The top 25 list included five former LA Galaxy players as Cobi Jones (14th), DaMarcus Beasley (19th), Paul Caligiuri (21st) and Alexi Lalas (24th) joined Donovan on the squad.
Ex-Galaxy defender Eddie Lewis also received a vote but was not among the top 25.
