LA Galaxy forward Giovani dos Santos is expected to make his LA Galaxy debut in Thursday’s game. Dos Santos joined the Galaxy this week following Mexico’s victory in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Thursday’s match against Central FC at StubHub Center marks the beginning of the group stages of the 2015-16 CONCACAF Champions League. LA advanced to the quarterfinals in the 2013-14 edition of the tournament and was semifinalist in the 2012-13 Champions League. Bruce Arena’s squad qualified for this installment of the tournament by winning the 2014 MLS Cup last December. This is the fifth time in which LA have qualified for the Champions League, debuting in the 2010-11 edition of the tournament. In 14 all-time group stage games, the Galaxy are 10-3-1, including a perfect 7-0-0 at home.
