CARSON, Calif. -- LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena opted to decline comment when asked about the exclusion of Giovani dos Santos from Mexico's roster for their September friendlies.
Dos Santos was controversially omitted from Mexico's roster for their Sept. 4 friendly against Trinidad and Tobago and their Sept. 8 match against Argentina by interim manager Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti last week. Speculation has swirled as to why Dos Santos was omitted from the squad and on Tuesday, Galaxy boss Bruce Arena was asked about Dos Santos' omission from Mexico, and opted not to address the controversy.
"Yeah, I have thoughts about it but it's certainly not my business," Arena told reporters. "I would just think that they have a pretty good team if [Dos Santos] wasn't called up.”
