The Republic of Ireland faces two must-win matches this international period as they look to qualify for Euro 2016.

Galaxy captain Robbie Keane will lead Ireland on Thursday against World Champions Germany in Dublin before the Irish head to Warsaw to take on Poland. The Irish sit in third place in Group D with 15 points which are four points behind first place Germany and two back of the Poles.

After earning victories against Gibraltar and Georgia during the last international window in September, the Irish have a chance to further their dream of qualifying for a second straight European Championship.

"It's still not over yet. We still have a long way to go. We've got two massive games, and there's a lot of work to be done," Keane said. "These are big games. These are the type of games that you want to be playing in. We play the World Cup champions and then Poland, who is going to be tough. When you start winning games, then confidence is coming in, and that's always good."

And the Boys in Green will need every bit confidence as their matches against Germany and Poland are do-or-die.

"These are the deciding games," Keane said. "It's also dependent on what results that Scotland get, but we put ourselves in a good position going forward. We're looking forward to [these games]."
