CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015) – LA Galaxy II announced today details for the team’s annual Open Tryouts, which follows the 2015 USL season in hopes of finding players to add to the team’s USL roster in 2016. Due to increased response from last year’s tryouts, Los Dos will host Open Tryouts during three different times and locations: Las Vegas (Dec. 12-13, 2015) and StubHub Center (Jan. 23-24 & Jan. 30-31 in 2016).

LA Galaxy II Open Tryouts offer participants the chance to become a professional soccer player by signing a contract with Los Dos. LA Galaxy II coaching and technical staff members will be on hand to observe participants during the days, selecting a minimum of three players at the conclusion of tryouts. Players selected will be invited to train with the team ahead of the 2016 USL season with the chance to earn a professional contract.
Full details for LA Galaxy II Open Tryouts are as follows:
- Participants who register from this date forward must be male and 17-29 years old.
- Each participant is guaranteed two 60-minute, full-field soccer games to impress the LA Galaxy II coaching staff.
- The registration fee for one weekend of open tryouts is $175.
- A minimum of three participants will be invited on trial with LA Galaxy II following all three of the open tryouts by February 2, 2016.
- In addition to the registration fee of $175, participants are responsible for all airfare, incurred travel costs, food and transportation. Also note that LA Galaxy II will not help with Visas or letters of invitation.
- Players must come prepared for the tryouts with their own cleats, socks, gloves, shin guards or any other equipment related to their position.
- LA Galaxy II will provide two numbered t-shirts to wear during your games.
- Teams will be constructed randomly according to players’ preferred positions.
- Your kickoff times will be emailed to you prior to the start of the open tryout weekend, after teams are constructed.
