On this day in 2004, Steven Gerrard scored one of the most legendary goals in world soccer history.
On Dec 8, 2004, Gerrard saved Liverpool's Champions League campaign with a dramatic 86th minute strike from beyond 20-yards against Olympiakos to send the Reds through to the knockout round. Liverpool FC would go on to win the 2005 UEFA Champions League in dramatic fashion months later.
