Giovani dos Santos showed flashes of his sublime skill during his first season with the Galaxy, but no moment was better than his very first goal in a Galaxy uniform against the hated Seattle Sounders.
The Mexican forward opened his Galaxy account with a brilliant finish over Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei in Los Angeles’ 3-1 victory over the Sounders. Robbie Keane delivered a well-timed ball past the Sounders defense to a rushing Dos Santos, who placed his shot into the Seattle net.
Dos Santos completed the season with four goals and seven assists.
