With 30% of the votes, LA Galaxy fans selected Gio’s debut goal against the Seattle Sounders as the team’s goal of the year.
The Mexican forward opened his Galaxy account with a brilliant finish over Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei in Los Angeles’ 3-1 victory over the Sounders. Robbie Keane delivered a well-timed ball past the Sounders defense to a rushing Dos Santos, who placed his shot into the Seattle net.
Dos Santos completed the season with four goals and seven assists.
