“USL Kickoff Contest” OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
The “USL Kickoff Contest” (the “Contest”) is sponsored by United Soccer Leagues, LLC (“Sponsor”). This Contest is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”). By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor and its agents, are final in all respects. The Contest is subject to all federal, state/province and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with: Twitter; any of the teams that currently participate in USL, or any of the teams that may participate in USL in the 2016 season (specifically including Arizona United SC, Bethlehem Steel FC, Charleston Battery, Charlotte Independence, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, FC Cincinnati, Harrisburg City Islanders, FC Montreal, New York Red Bulls II, OKC Energy FC, Los Angeles Galaxy II, Louisville City, Orange County Blues FC, Orlando City B, Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Portland Timbers FC 2, Real Monarchs SLC, Richmond Kickers, Rio Grande Valley FC Toros, Rochester Rhinos, Sacramento Republic FC, Saint Louis FC, Seattle Sounder FC 2, Swope Park Rangers KC, Toronto FC II, Tulsa Roughnecks FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, Wilmington Hammerheads FC, “USL San Antonio 2016” and unidentified teams 1-20) or any of their affiliates, subsidiaries, related or associated entities, agents, representatives, successors or assigns (“Affiliates”). Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to Sponsor and not to Twitter, Instagram, any individual teams, or any of their Affiliates.
ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of the continental United States and Canada where not prohibited by law, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry, who have Internet access and a valid email address, as applicable, prior to the beginning of the Contest Period. Sponsor has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins January 20, 2016 at 4:00 PM EST and ends January 25, 2016 at 4:00 PM EST (“Contest Period”). All entries (submissions) must be received on or before the time stated during that submission period. Sponsor reserves the right to extend or shorten the Contest in its sole discretion.
HOW TO ENTER
Limit one (1) entry per person. Entrants may enter the Contest by: (1) entering their full name and valid email address, then (2) Selecting their USL home team of choice and, finally (3) guessing the home opener opponent for their selected home team. Entrants will complete this process on the uslsoccer.com website.
WINNER SELECTION
Entrants who correctly guess the opponent for their USL team’s home opener will be entered to win four (4) tickets to their selected team’s home opener. One (1) winner (“Winner”) per each of the twenty-eight (28) USL teams will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries.
The Winners will be notified January 29, at or around 2:00 PM EST. Notification and instructions for collecting the Winner Prize will be sent to the Winners’ email accounts. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his/her email account for prize notification and receipt or other communications related to this Contest. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by Sponsor within 15 days using the contact information provided at the time of entry, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the Winner Prize.
WINNER PRIZES
Once the Winners are confirmed, notified and verified, arrangements will be made for him/her to receive the tickets directly from their respective USL home teams. Each Winner will receive four (4) tickets to their selected team’s home opener. Winners will receive tickets directly from the club. Each team will instruct winners on where, when and how to claim their prize.
Terms and conditions may apply. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner. ALL FEDERAL, STATE/PROVINCIAL AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.
At the request of the Sponsor, the potential Weekly Winner may be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Prize Acceptance Form and IRS W-9 form. If a potential Winner fails to comply with these official rules, that potential Winner will be disqualified.
ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS
If winners cannot be present for the home opener, Prizes may be transferred to another person, but they may not be transferred for an alternate or later club match. The Prize are otherwise non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted. Sponsor and its respective Affiliate are not responsible for any damage to the Prizes occurring before, during, or after the shipping or mailing of the Prize. Sponsor and its respective Affiliate are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Contest is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Contest, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Sponsor determines that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorized intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Sponsor reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. Sponsor and its respective Affiliate and any telephone network or service providers are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.
INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES, ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZES THAT MAY BE WON. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZES. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE CONTEST.
