CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016) – The LA Galaxy will introduce new signings Ashley Cole and Jelle Van Damme in a press conference on Feb. 5, at StubHub Center at 12:30 p.m. PT, following the team’s training session.
Cole, a three-time FIFA World Cup player and England’s most capped outside defender, has featured for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Roma throughout his career. During his time in England’s Premier League, he has captured four Premier League titles, seven FA Cups, and a UEFA Champions League title during his time with England’s Arsenal and Chelsea,
Van Damme joined the Galaxy from Standard Liege in Belgium, where he captained the side and made 205 appearances since joining the team in 2011. In addition to Standard Liege, the defender has had stints with Germinal Beerschot (Belgium), Ajax (Netherlands), Southampton (England), Werder Bremen (Germany), Anderlecht (Belgium) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (England). He has also made 30 appearances for the Belgium national team.
