Alex Morgan scores three as USWNT qualify for sixth consecutive Olympics | INSIDER

The United States Women's National Team is heading to Rio.


The USWNT qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero on Friday with a convincing 5-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago in Houston. 


Alex Morgan notched a hat trick while Tobin Heath and Carli Lloyd also scored as the squad qualified for the Olympics for the sixth consecutive time. Jill Ellis' group, will face now fellow Olympic qualifiers Canada in Houston for the CONCACAF tournament title on Sunday.


The United States will learn their Olympic group opponents in April. If the USWNT can earn their fourth consecutive gold this summer, they will be the first reigning World Cup champion to win the Olympic tournament.
