LA Galaxy peak at No. 4 in three noteworthy Power Rankings | INSIDER

3.7 Weekly Schedule

A sensational Mike Magee performance helped the LA Galaxy power over D.C. United 4-1 on Sunday but the Galaxy's showing received little love from the league's three most prominent power rankings.

MLSsoccer.com, SI.com and ESPN FC all had the Galaxy near the top half of their rankings after Sunday's showing against a competent United team.

The three rankings and their explanations can be found below:

MLSsoccer.com:  No. 6

"They were pretty thoroughly outplayed until Mike Magee rode in with a brace to save the day. The chemistry between Magee (2013 MVP) and Robbie Keane (2014 MVP) is undeniable."

SI.com: No. 4

"Perhaps the Galaxy’s goalkeeping headaches aren’t over, as Dan Kennedy came out injured a few minutes after giving up a soft goal in a 4-1 win over D.C. in which LA didn’t get going until the second half."

ESPN FC: No. 5

"The star of the Galaxy's emphatic 4-1 win over D.C. United was Mike Magee. Back in LA after signing as a free agent, he made a massive difference with two goals and a penalty drawn in a second half that finally showed what this Galaxy team can do -- minus Giovani Dos Santos."
