LA Galaxy II are going straight to the top...of the USL Power Rankings for Week 2, that is.
Los Dos have started the season undefeated in three matches, including their dramatic come-from-behind 3-3 road draw with Real Monarchs last Saturday. The tie in Salt Lake City capped off a four-point week for Galaxy II that also featured a commanding 3-0 win over Saint Louis FC.
"Three games in eight days is a test of mental stamina as much as physical, and coming off a strong 3-0 victory on Wednesday night against Saint Louis, it might have been easy for Los Dos to pack in mentally going down by three goals to Real Monarchs SLC on Saturday," USL's Nicholas Murray wrote. "They didn’t, and in their comeback to earn a point showed they will be a side to contend with for the long haul."
In total, Galaxy II have scored eight goals this season while conceding just three. They'll return to action this Friday when they host Southern California rivals Orange County Blues FC at StubHub Center.
