Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl is reporting that LA Galaxy midfielder Nigel de Jong is set to miss at least one game for his tackle on Darlington Nagbe during Sunday's 1-1 draw with the Portland Timbers.
Sources tell Wahl that the MLS Disciplinary Committee is set to give De Jong a retroactive red card for the challenge which will cost him a place in the Galaxy's squad for this Friday's clash with the Houston Dynamo. Wahl reports that the Disciplinary Committee has not yet decided if De Jong's tackle will warrant a suspension longer than one game.
Official word on the suspension length is not expected until later this week.
