CARSON, Calif. (Monday, April 25, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (2-0-4, 10 pts.) return to training this week to prepare for its second road trip of the season this weekend. Los Dos will take on fifth-place Rio Grande Valley FC at 5:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 30 at RGV Stadium in Edinburg, Texas.
This will be the two sides’ first-ever meeting; RGVFC is one of six expansion clubs new to the USL in 2016. In Los Dos’ first road game of the season, they salvaged a point away at Real Monarchs SLC after coming back from a 3-0 deficit at halftime.
Last Friday, Los Dos earned their fourth straight draw of the season against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 in a 2-2 tie with the visitors at StubHub Center. Goals from Jack McBean and Jose Villarreal helped to keep LA Galaxy II unbeaten in the 2016 season.
Tomorrow marks one month since the start of the 2016 season. In 2015, LA Galaxy II went 1-3-1 in its first month. Through six games, LA Galaxy II sit atop the USL Western Conference standings and lead the entire league in goals scored. Jack McBean’s five goals lead the Western Conference.
