CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy topped two of three of the most prominent MLS Power Rankings after their 1-1 draw with Sporting Kansas City last weekend.
The Galaxy who are unbeaten in their last six matches found themselves on the top of Sports Illustrated and ESPN FC's power rankings. Los Angeles stood pat in MLSsoccer.com's power rankings sliding in at the third spot.
The complete rankings and their explanation are below:
"The Galaxy scored on a classic Bruce Arena counterattack and held on for a 1-1 draw at Sporting Kansas City. Giovani Dos Santos was on the scoresheet again with another beautiful chipped finish. Ashley Cole’s 30 seconds of madness in which he picked up two deserved yellows was the only huge negative."
"The Galaxy looked less impossible to stop in their 1-1 draw in Kansas City than in their previous two wins, but Giovani Dos Santos' goal is yet another warning shot to the rest of the league that things are clicking in Los Angeles."
"An intra-conference road point is always beautiful. LA have hit on something with their 4-2-3-1, and Gyasi Zardes has been one of the league's best forwards since being moved off the wing. That Gio Dos Santos guy's been pretty decent, too.."
