CARSON, Calif. – Steven Gerrard returned to the pitch on Sunday evening after missing a match due to a groin injury.
Gerrard subbed into the match for LA Galaxy captain Robbie Keane in the 60th minute. After the New England Revolution cut the scoreline to 3-2, the vistors pushed hard for an equalizer.
Gerrard collected a pass from Mike Magee at the top of the box in stoppage time before dribbling through the Revs defense and looping his shot into the back of the net to seal all three points for the Galaxy.
