LA Galaxy II train at StubHub Center before traveling to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, May 9, 2016) – After last week’s stretch of three games in eight days, Los Dos have a week to prepare beforea rematch with Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Sunday, May 15 at 2:00 p.m. PT at UBC Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Their first meeting with the Whitecaps this season resulted in a 2-2 draw at StubHub Center, during which Los Dos had a 2-0 lead through the 65^th minute.

The two sides sit atop the Western Conference. LA Galaxy II (4-1-4, 16 points) currently have the edge, but Vancouver (4-0-2, 14 points) has played three less games and is the USL’s lone unbeaten team.  In two road games this season, Los Dos are unbeaten at 1-0-1 with a 3-3 tie against Real Monarchs SLC and a 2-0 win over Rio Grande Valley FC.
Last week, LA earned their second straight win in a 3-2 victory over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Wednesday. In the match, captain forward Jack McBean scored his first professional hat trick while also leapfrogging Louisville City FC’s Chandler Hoffman for the lead spot in the USL Golden Boot Race. He now has nine goals on the season.
But on Saturday, Galaxy II were shutout for the first time of the season in a 0-2 home loss to Sacramento Republic FC. LA has a troubling history against the Northern Californian side in the regular season; they’ve never won against Sacramento at StubHub Center.
Sunday’s fixture with Vancouver will be the first of a two-game road stretch for Los Dos. They have Seattle Sounders FC 2 the following Sunday, May 22 in Seattle before returning to StubHub Center against Arizona United SC on Saturday, May 28.
