The LA Galaxy topped two prominent MLS power rankings after extending their unbeaten streak to seven games with a 4-2 win over the New England Revolution last weekend.

The Galaxy were ranked first in both the Sports Illustrated and ESPN FC power rankings for the second consecutive work following yet another impressive showing at StubHub Center. Los Angeles was placed third on MLSsoccer.com’s list.

The Power Rankings and their explanations are below:

SI.com: 1st

"The Galaxy simply overpowered the Revolution on Sunday, with Giovani Dos Santos scoring his fourth goal in his last three games (on an absurdly-low five total shots). The manner in which they let the Revs back into the game will be concerning, especially for a team that struggles to keep clean sheets (just one in nine games)."

ESPN FC: 1st

"No reason to move the Galaxy out of the top spot after their 4-2 win over New England. Robbie Keane came back and scored twice while Giovani dos Santos continued his excellent form. Be afraid."

MLSsoccer.com: 3rd

"Another barrage of goals, but some reason to worry defensively over the final 30 minutes, and some questions still linger about how Robbie Keane and Giovani Dos Santos fit."
