LA Galaxy President Chris Klein downplayed reports linking the LA Galaxy to a rumored move for Swedish soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which first surfaced on Thursday

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times' Kevin Baxter on Thursday evening, Klein did not comment on the reports nor on whether the Galaxy had been in contact with Ibrahimovic's representation. Los Angeles currently have three Designated Players in Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard and Giovani dos Santos.

"I can't comment," Klein told the LA Times.

"We have three DPs," he later added. "And we have no plans to move any of them."

Klein offered a similar statement to an ESPN FC report posted on Friday stating that the Galaxy were in talks with the striker.

On Friday, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paris St. Germain announced the Swede's departure from the club after scoring 152 goals in 178 appearances since joining in 2012. He'll play his final league game for the club on May 14.
