Lassiter, 21, signed with the LA Galaxy on Mar. 5, 2016. He made his first MLS career start against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on April 2.

In 2015, Lassiter scored 11 times with Los Dos during the USL Regular Season, including three game-winning goals, and added an additional four goals in USL Playoff matches, helping Los Dos reach their first-ever USL Championship. Lassiter finished the USL season with 15 goals overall with one assist.

The two clubs first met on May 4 of this year when Los Dos defeated Colorado Springs 3-2 in the first match of the season at the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. A hat trick from Jack McBean secured all three points for Galaxy II that day.

Colorado Springs currently tops the Western Conference table with 22 points (7-2-1). LA sits third with 21 points, just behind Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (6-1-4, 22 points) who took their first loss of the season last week. Coming into Saturday’s match, Colorado Springs rides a five game unbeaten streak. Their last loss was against Los Dos.

LA Galaxy II continues to lead the leagues in goals scored (27) and are the only team to be averaging more than two goals per game (2.08). Jack McBean leads all USL goal scorers with 11 goals in 12 games.
