CARSON, Calif. (Monday, July 4, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (7-2-8, 26 points) have two weeks of training before they’ll next take the field. After their win over Orange County Blues FC on July 2, Los Dos won’t play again until they travel to Portland to take on Timbers 2 on Saturday, July 16 at Merlo Field.
Over the weekend, Galaxy II earned their second consecutive win in a 2-1 defeat of Southern California rival Orange County Blues FC at StubHub Center. A goal from Adonis Amaya and a converted penalty kick from Jack McBean gave Los Dos all three points and extended LA Galaxy II’s unbeaten streak to seven games.
With the win, Los Dos moved back into second place in the USL Western Conference standings, three points behind Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (9-2-5, 32 points).
