The Houston Dynamo will be without veteran defender DaMarcus Beasley for their match against the LA Galaxy on Friday.

Houston announced on Monday that the 34-year-old is set to undergo left knee surgery this week and will be unavailable “for the foreseeable future”. The former U.S. international has made 17 appearances for the Dynamo this season.

With Beasley unable to play, the Dynamo will likely turn to outside back Sheanon Williams against the Galaxy. Williams was an unused substitute during the Galaxy’s 4-1 win over Houston in April.
