CARSON, Calif. – Brian Rowe earned his second Save of the Week award for his acrobatic stop during the LA Galaxy’s 1-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC last week.
Rowe’s save came in the 76th minute when the Galaxy goalkeeper tipped Clint Dempsey’s looping header over the bar to preserve Los Angeles’ second consecutive shutout in league play. The 27-year-old’s stop handily beat Colorado Rapids’ netminder Tim Howard in the final round vote by a 59-41 percent margin.
Rowe previously won the honor back in March.
