Sebastian Lletget eager to make a difference in U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal clash with Sounders | INSIDER

Sebastian Lletget

CARSON, Calif. – Sebastian Lletget knows that he’ll get an opportunity to play substantial minutes in the LA Galaxy’s quarterfinal clash with Seattle Sounders FC on Wednesday, and the talented attacker is relishing that opportunity.

After joining the club from West Ham United last May, Lletget burst onto the scene with 20 appearances and seven goals in regular season play. By his admission, Lletget has seen his minutes shrink in the crowded Galaxy midfield this year with the midfielder playing in 17 games and failing to score a single goal in league play.

Lletget is expected to be a major contributor for Wednesday’s Open Cup quarterfinal, and the confident 23-year-old is eager to show that he's up to the task.

“I know that I’m going to get minutes, and I’m going to enjoy it. I’m going to do everything that I can to make a difference in the game,” Lletget, who has two goals in the Galaxy’s 2016 Open Cup campaign, said. “We’re going in with a lot of confidence and even though some different guys are going to get minutes, the confidence is there, and it’s a high morale right now. I’m really looking forward to this.”
