LA Galaxy II (8-2-8, 32 points) take a three-game win streak south with them when they head to face San Antonio FC Saturday, July 23 at Toyota Park. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT with a live stream available at www.lagalaxy.com/2.

Tied with Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 in points at the top of the USL Western Conference, LA Galaxy II are playing with confidence. In their last outing, Los Dosthrottled Portland Timbers 2 on the road 4-1 for their third straight win, their largest win streak of the season. The win also extended their unbeaten streak to eight games, tied for their longest of the 2016 campaign.

A number of players are responsible for Los Dos’ current form. In the absence of a full-time Jack McBean, Adonis Amaya has stepped up to score or assist in each of the previous three matches he started. Lee Nishanian was selected to USL Team of the Week after Portland. Jose Villarreal and Jaime Villarreal co-lead the team in assists.

Above all, 14 players have scored for Los Dos this season, more than any other team in the Western Conference. LA Galaxy II continue to lead the league in goals scored (37).

Los Dos won’t be the only ones playing with confidence. San Antonio FC brings a six-game unbeaten streak of their own to the table on Saturday night and have won each of their last three home games. And the last home victory might just be their most impressive: they shutout conference leaders Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 in a 2-0 win at Toyota Park.

SAFC forward Franck Tayou has tallied three goals in five appearances since he joined the club on June 16, and is now tied with Jason Johnson as the team’s leading goal scorer. San Antonio FC now sits in seventh place on the league table. The team currently finds itself in a playoff position, and trails OKC Energy FC and RGV FC by four points.
