LA Galaxy host FC Dallas in USOC on Wednesday, Colorado Rapids on Saturday | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Aug. 8, 2016) – The LA Galaxy will host two matches at StubHub Center this week, beginning this Wednesday, Aug, 10 against FC Dallas in the Semifinal match of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (7:00 p.m. PT, ESPN2).

LA will then return to MLS Regular Season action when they host the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 7:30 p.m. live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes.

LA Galaxy II will travel to face OKC Energy FC at Taft Stadium at 5:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, August 13.
The winner of the Open Cup Semifinal match between the LA Galaxy and FC Dallas will advance to the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final against the winner of the semifinal match between the Chicago Fire and New England Revolution played on Tuesday. The Galaxy reached this year’s semifinals by way of defeating La Máquina in the Fourth Round before a road win over Portland Timbers FC in the Round of 16. The Galaxy then earned a 4-2 win over Seattle Sounders FC in the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals. 
On Wednesday, the Galaxy will play in the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup for the first time since 2006. LA are 19-2-0 at home all time in the Open Cup and currently have a 17-game winning streak at home in the U.S. Open Cup. The Galaxy’s last home defeat in the USOC was to the Chicago Fire in the 2000 US Open Cup Semifinal game. The club has recorded a 31-15-0 all-time record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The Galaxy have gone 35-25-9 against the Rapids all time in MLS play, scoring 108 goals and allowing just 78. Saturday will mark the third and final match this year that the Galaxy will face Colorado, going 0-1-1 in their previous two contests. In their most recent contest, the Galaxy earned a 0-0 draw at StubHub Center in June.
This season, the Galaxy are 6-0-5 at StubHub Center in MLS Regular Season play, scoring 22 goals while allowing just 10. The Galaxy have been one of the most successful MLS teams at home during the last four seasons, scoring 140 total goals at StubHub Center, the most of any team. The Galaxy’s home MLS record throughout the last four seasons is 40-5-16, with 140 goals for and just 46 against. Since 2014, the Galaxy have only lost five of their previous 61 MLS games at StubHub Center.
