LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Monday, Aug. 22, 2016) – The LA Galaxy (9-4-11, 38 points) will face the Chicago Fire in a road match at Toyota Park this Wednesday, Aug. 24 (4:30 p.m. PT) before returning to StubHub Center for a match Saturday, Aug. 27 against the Vancouver Whitecaps (7:30 p.m. PT).

Both games will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes. LA Galaxy II are on the road again to take on Sporting Park Rangers at Children’s Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Mo. on Saturday, August 27 at 5:30 p.m. PT.
All time, the Galaxy are 20-15-5 against the Chicago Fire, including 3-3-2 at Toyota Park. In their most recent contest, the Galaxy earned a 2-0 win at StubHub Center over the Eastern Conference side in last year’s opening match. Wednesday will mark the two sides’ only meeting this year.
This year on the road, the Galaxy have gone 3-4-5 while scoring 14 goals and allowing 13. In their last 10 matches in MLS, the Galaxy are now 6-1-3. The Galaxy’s +14 goal differential this year is the best in MLS and their 24 goals allowed are second-fewest in MLS. The Galaxy are 6-1-3 in their last 10 MLS matches.
On Saturday, the Galaxy will face the Whitecaps, who sit in ninth place in the MLS Western Conference, for the third time this season, going 1-1-0 in their previous two matchups. In their most recent meeting, the Galaxy earned a 2-0 win at StubHub Center behind goals from Robbie Keane and Jeff Larentowicz.
In their last six MLS matches at StubHub Center, the Galaxy have allowed just three goals. This season, the Galaxy are 6-0-6 at StubHub Center, scoring 24 goals while allowing just 11. The Galaxy have been one of the most successful MLS teams at home during the last four seasons, scoring 141 total goals at StubHub Center, the most of any team. The Galaxy’s home MLS record throughout the last four seasons is 40-5-17, with 141 goals for and just 47 against. Since 2014, the Galaxy have only lost five of their previous 62 MLS games at StubHub Center.
