Robbie Keane says he's "ready" to play against Orlando City SC after recovering from groin injury | INSIDER

CARSON, Calif. – Robbie Keane is aiming to return to action on Sunday when the LA Galaxy host Orlando City SC.

The 36-year-old was back in full training on Friday after missing the last four matches due to a groin injury and international duty with the Republic of Ireland. Although Galaxy boss Bruce Arena was noncommittal about Keane’s status, the Galaxy captain was bullish that he was ready to go.

"I’m good. I trained today. I’m feeling good and ready for Sunday,” Keane told reporters. “I had a groin problem before I left and I didn’t play the Vancouver game before I left, I was still struggling from being out [a week earlier].

“With the Irish team, I had to get an injection. It would have been harsh if all those people came to see me play in my farewell game and I didn’t play. It was important that I played the game. The next week, I was sore, but I got a [platelet rich plasma injection] a day after [the Ireland game] and I trained today so I’m good.”
