CARSON, Calif. –Alan Gordon couldn’t help but get a little emotional on Sunday after accomplishing his latest career milestone.
The 34-year-old notched his 50th career regular season goal in the Galaxy’s 4-2 victory over Orlando City. For Gordon, who has made 240 appearances for four clubs throughout his 12-year career, the achievement was incredibly meaningful.
“It’s nothing that I envisioned. It’s been a blessing for sure. It took me a long time to do it, but I’m very happy. I don’t know if it’s a landmark, but it is to me. It means something to me and I’m really thankful for that,” Gordon said. “It’s something that I never thought I would be able to do. It’s a blessing and I’m really happy to achieve it.”
