CARSON, Calif. -- Clement Diop was named to USL's Team of the Week for his role in helping LA Galaxy II secure a postseason berth last week.
Diop started both games for Los Dos last week as they earned a 1-0 victory over Rio Grande Valley FC to clinch a berth midweek and then secured a 1-1 draw on the road against Sacramento Republic. Diop made 11 saves last week -- eight coming against Rio Grande Valley -- while conceding just one goal.
Galaxy II striker Ariel Lassiter was named to the squad's bench after scoring against RGVFC.
