CARSON, Calif. – The status of Steven Gerrard remains up in the air for the LA Galaxy’s match against Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday.
Gerrard and fellow Englishman Ashley Cole participated in a regeneration session downstairs while the rest of the squad trained on Wednesday. Gerrard has missed the Galaxy’s last five games with a hamstring injury.
“We will see. It’s Wednesday. The game is on Sunday,” head coach Bruce Arena said. “We have to take it one day at a time, we can’t rush ourselves”
Gerrard and Cole weren’t the only players not present at training, however. Midfielder Landon Donovan took part in an intra-squad scrimmage with LA Galaxy II on Wednesday as he continues his ongoing fitness regimen after ending a near two-year retirement almost two weeks ago
