Bruce Arena had another classic one-liner when asked about his coaching future | INSIDER

CARSON, Calif. – Bruce Arena has no plans to end his tenure as the LA Galaxy’s head coach and general manger any time soon.

Speaking to Spectrum SportsNet’s Kelli Tennant at the LA Galaxy Townhall at the team’s season ticket member event, Arena said that he’s taking his coaching career “one day at a time.” Arena, who turned 65 on Wednesday, has coached the Galaxy since the 2009 season and coached professional soccer since the league’s inception.

When asked by Tennant about his future, Arena responded with one of his vintage quips.

“I will definitely be here tomorrow. Hopefully on Sunday. I’m going to take it one day at a time now that I have social security and [medicare],” Arena said. “I’m playing with house money. I can do a lot of things. Like we do with our team, we’re going to take it one day at a time and make decisions at the end of the season.”
