CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy have had some epic battles with Clint Dempsey over the years, but now the entire organization and LAGalaxy.com are rallying behind the U.S. National Team star.
On Tuesday, Seattle Sounders FC announced that the Sounders’ star will miss the remainder of the 2016 MLS regular season due to an irregular heartbeat which was discovered last month. The 33-year-old has been sidelined since undergoing a procedure in late August to address the issue.
According to Sounders General Manager and President of Soccer Garth Lagerway, Seattle is hopeful that Dempsey will be able to return for the 2017 season. No announcement on Dempsey’s status for next year is expected before Sounders training camp opens in January.
