At long last, Giovani dos Santos has returned to El Tri.
Ahead of their friendlies against New Zealand and Panama on Oct. 8 and 11, Dos Santos has begun training with the Mexican squad. Dos Santos departed for Mexico on Sunday from Texas following the Galaxy's 1-0 defeat to FC Dallas a day earlier.
On Monday, the Mexican federation's official Twitter account tweeted a picture of Dos Santos in his Mexico training gear on a treadmill with the caption, "Look who came." Dos Santos is expected to be a major contributor during the friendlies with head coach Juan Carlos Osorio opting to leave the majority of his European contingent with their club teams during the international break.
