CARSON, Calif. – Alan Gordon was given a clean bill of health despite exiting the LA Galaxy’s 3-1 victory over Real Salt Lake with a hip issue in the 52nd minute.
Gordon, who scored the opener in his first career playoff start, went down in the 51st minute after chasing down a Salt Lake attacker. After the match, Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena immediately stated that the striker was “fine.”
“He’s fine,” Arena said. “He’s not going to have a problem.”
Gordon reiterated Arena’s diagnosis, stating that he shouldn’t have any issues being ready for Sunday’s Western Conference semifinal first leg against Colorado Rapids.
“I should be OK,” Gordon said.
