CARSON, CALIF. (Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017) – StubHub Center announced today that the venue will host a match between Chivas Guadalajara and Club León in a friendly at StubHub Center on Saturday, March 25 at 8:00 p.m. PT.
Tickets for the Chivas – Club Leon match, which start at $35, will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10:00 a.m. PT and can be purchased online via www.axs.com, at the StubHub Center box office or by calling 888-9AXS-TIX (888-929-7849).
Chivas, who play in Liga MX, Mexico’s top division, is one of the most winning teams in the history of Mexican soccer, with 11 league titles, three Cup titles and a CONCACAF Championship. The only club in Mexico to exclusively field Mexican players, is managed by Argentinian manager Matías Jesús Almeyda. Chivas is led by a lineup of standout players, including Alan Pulido, Carlos Salcido and Rodolfo Pizarro. Chivas returns to StubHub Center after capturing their first Supercopa MX title last summer.
Club León, the seven time Liga MX champion, are managed by Argentine head coach Javier Torrente and feature a roster that includes players like goalkeeper William Yarbrough, midfielder Carlos “Gullit” Peña and forward Mauro Boselli.
The last time that Chivas and Leon faced off in the U.S. was in November 2016, as Leon topped Chivas Guadalajara 3-2 at the Chuckchansi Park in Fresno, California.
